Production Requirements

The Tech

Computer

Kostya’s presentation is run directly off of his Apple MacBook Pro running Keynote. Please supply an HDMI cable to connect your projection system to his computer. An audio cord is needed as well to plug into the laptop audio jack. Presentation slides are not supplied ahead of time.

Microphones

Please provide a dedicated wireless lavaliere (lapel) or a hands-free headset. A secondary, handheld microphone is needed for audience participation. The two microphones should be on separate channels to be used simultaneously.

Lighting

Please provide a general wash of light in the middle of the stage. For magic shows, keep the audience at 70-90% dark. For keynote presentations, the audience should ideally be 25-50% dimmer than the stage area, but not totally in the dark.

Special Requirements

Meal

If the client requests it and the schedule allows it, Kostya can be invited to have lunch or dinner with the client. Otherwise, please supply one gluten-free meal after showtime.

Filming

Please obtain prior consent and written permission before videotaping, recording, or filming Kostya’s presentation/show.

The Room

Room Size

Select the smallest room that will comfortably accommodate the number of attendees you expect. The less empty space in the room, the better the energy and connection, creating a better show.

Seating

The audience should be seated as close to the stage as possible. To create the best connection between Kostya and your audience, please make sure there is not a dance floor or orchestra pit separating the audience from the stage.

Backstage or Green Room

Please provide two chairs and a small table in a secure room or backstage, out of sight of the audience.

The Stage

Stage Riser

A 12’ x 16’ or larger stage area, 1’-3’ off the ground, in the best-lit area of the room.

Stairs

Audience members will be invited to join Kostya on the stage during the presentation. Please have stairs placed directly in the front center of the stage. If stairs require handrails, please place the stairs on the side so they do not obstruct anyone’s view.

Set Pieces

Please provide one chair and one table (round high-top or a serving tray stand covered in black cloth). Please ensure there is no podium to block the front of the stage or that the podium may be moved during performance time.
